Iran's exhibition industry, as one of the most attractive sectors of the economy, albeit with a boycott of its own and having climbed the ladder, is ready to make dramatic changes.

According to Iran's International Stone Exhibition, the next five years are crucial for all economic dimensions. The wheels of the country's mill, industry and commerce are lubricated and ready to move on with the first breeze of development. In this situation, all small and large economic sectors will be affected by industrial boom and their situation will be different from the past.

Iran's exhibition industry, as one of the most attractive sectors of the economy, albeit with a boycott of its own and having climbed the ladder, is ready to make dramatic changes. This change has already begun in qualitative cases such as construction of exhibitions in Tehran, Isfahan and Hamedan and in the form of quantitative and incremental exhibition events, and we should expect to see significant employment in the next year. There are tens and maybe hundreds of foreign exhibition companies, especially from European countries in different provinces of Iran.

Abdul Karim Jalali is a well-known exhibition figure in the country who has more than three decades of experience in the field, and some of the most important events in Tehran's exhibition calendar such as Metafo, Midx, and the largest facility exhibition in the Middle East are supported by his supervision.

This exhibition director is also an active member of the World Trade Union Association; Jalali's thirty years of experience led us to have a discussion with him on the subject of the country's Exhibitions in 2016 for the report of our last year's exhibition. The focus of the dialogue is on eight important factors that shape the exhibition industry together, from government and site owners and organizations to the role of advertising and services, and ultimately to the large share of visitors, organizers and contributors. Did she know? Yes.

Among the indicators of development in each country are the number of specialized exhibitions held in partnership with other economic sectors. This reflects the growth and dynamics of industries and production in that country. With such a view, one of the serious steps in the Iranian exhibition industry is the creation of the necessary infrastructure, including the development and optimization of exhibition venues.

At present, the permanent venues of Tehran International Exhibitions need to be upgraded in terms of quality, and they also require major renovations and development that require sufficient development budget or the authorization to utilize private sector capital.

Alongside the Aftab city complex and even another exhibition site in Tehran, there are activities. Perhaps only the exhibition sites of Tabriz, Mashhad and Zanjan can be considered acceptable exhibitions.

Isfahan, however, will soon become one of the major Iranian exhibition hubs with the ability to host international exhibitions in line with World Trade Union standards. In other cities unfortunately the conditions are not favorable at all.

Certainly before any hasty move to invest in cities and provincial capitals, the roadmap for the Iranian Exhibition Industry should be plotted to accomplish the capacity building mission defined for that site. Given the recent changes in the international situation of Iran and the good relations with foreign countries, what strategy and long-term plan can be drawn for the success of Iran's exhibition industry?

These new conditions, along with all the benefits they may have, can create challenges and difficulties for us. Iranian exhibitors must take care of themselves and their titles against foreign events and European anchors.

In any case, a role can be assigned to each spectrum active in the field. The role that, if implemented properly, will advance the game for Iran. First and foremost, I believe that the government can be effective in this area by outlining the general policies of exhibiting and supporting investors in the construction of venues and participants, especially in the foreign sector. Site owners should also move to the specialized professional body by planning the development of exhibition spaces and infrastructures, outsourcing the venue, and more.

They are also required to simplify the rules and regulations of the organization and plan according to the principles of a free economy and with the intention of supporting local organizers. What do you think of the many small and large organizations that have been created? I think organizations in any exhibition can play a supportive role, instead of pursuing short-term or personal interests in long-term and collective interests, adding to the credibility of the exhibitions, and like most other organizations in the country, they are involved in conferences and side-workshops and in performance. Not to interfere, but to participate in policy making.

However, most private sector organizers in the country, fortunately, have done well despite years of hard and painful sanctions and held exhibitions that were world-class and prestigious. But the need for human resources training and development of activities, especially in other countries, remains quite evident. While some of the organizers are not paying attention to the topic of information exhibition and advertising.

Considering the fact that in all countries the organizing companies are the symbol and flag of the exhibition activity, the promotion of the qualitative and quantitative level is one of the most important issues. Of course, this requires long-term licensing and licensing by the organizers and owners of the site and must be maintained in accordance with current intellectual property rights, the interests of the developer who is the organizer, and the hard-working opportunists. Don't sit down.

There have always been a lot of shortcomings in exhibition services (welfare options), what is the most important gap? Exhibition services are important in all their dimensions. Most of the jobs in the country's exhibition industry in this sector, including booths and the like, require increasing knowledge of the day and injecting forces with relevant education and crossing borders and creating opportunities for exporting services.

Alongside this, participants should also consider their role important. Training for the best use of exhibitions and planning for a thriving, effective and forward-looking presence are among the needs of this important aspect of the exhibition industry.

In the end we have the vital role of visitors. All elements of the exhibition industry make every effort to meet the needs and opinions of visitors. It is necessary to redefine the special place for visitors and to provide the required services including accommodation (hotels) and other infrastructure as well as the establishment of restaurants, toilets, currency exchange, banks, insurance, internet, etc. at the exhibition venues. In conclusion, I would like to say that while maintaining the status of anchors and domestic organizers, the Iranian exhibition industry must move to attract foreign visitors in order to achieve a prime position in the Middle East.
