Managing Director of Ducoha Stone Industries: There is a need for an export trading group or export consortium in the stone towns of Iran, and any factory capable of exporting with the help of these collections can export.

According to the International Stone Exhibition of Iran, Esmaeil Moradi, Managing Director of Dukohe Stone Industries (Mahallat), in an exclusive interview with Iranian Stone News Agency stated: Since 2001 I started my activity in the field of stone travertine production.

He further said that the major problems in the stone and mining industry are related to stone production and poor technology related to their processing. Unfortunately, the stone processing technology in the mines is poor. Overseas miners use stone to extract stones and in some cases do so by wire. The most important thing is that the amount of stone lost in their mines is very low.

He also said that the stones and additions of stone are also used abroad for optimum use, but in Iran due to lack of technology they are forced to discard the stone additions, which increases the price of the stone.

"Production costs in Iran's mines are high," said Doukoueh Stone Industries CEO. Production in most mines is not scientific. I think the volume of production should be reduced, and there should be specialized managers to determine and manage production capacity.

"I have been to many exhibitions abroad and gained experience in this field, and I have found that one of the factors that has made the stone industry successful in these countries, besides technology, is the issue of management," he said. Unfortunately, many of our mines and factories do not have proper management. Anyone who has capital has set up a factory or mine and manages the plant or mine itself, which ignores some of the specialization in executing.

Moradi said problems with the lack of checks on time and lack of market liquidity have hit the stone industry but there are no liquidity problems in countries such as Turkey because of government support.

He added: Proper management in the stone industry has led to the use of stones in the sand industry for example in Turkey, but in Iran due to lack of technology many of the stones are discarded.

He pointed out: In the field of export, it is not necessary to export every factory because it has to be studied and all aspects examined. Exporting is a specialized operation and should be done by a technician. Businessmen and businessmen who study and specialize in this field will succeed sooner.

He noted: There should be an export trade group or export consortium in the stone cities of Iran and any factory capable of exporting with the help of these collections can export. In the way that countries in need of stone declare themselves to these groups or consortia, they request their own stone, and the consortiums work to meet the needs of those countries, taking into account the existing factories and the stone production of each plant. They send stones to them.
