Spokesman of the Civil Engineering Commission of the Majles: In the current situation, the share of the Housing Foundation in the national production plan was about two hundred thousand rural houses, which it was decided to increase the share of the foundation in this field of production to about four hundred thousand housing units.

According to the International Iran Stone Exhibition, Seyed Alborz Hosseini stated: "Today, the third meeting of the Civil Commission was held and the guests of the meeting were the colleagues of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, the Central Bank, the Housing Bank and the Housing Foundation."

Referring to the current situation in the field of housing, the spokesman of the Civil Commission of the Majlis added: "In the current situation where the housing market is very inflamed, the Civil Commission has made the housing issue one of its most important programs from the first to the third session." Bank financiers were invited to the commission.

Hosseini said: "During these three meetings, as well as its continuation in tomorrow's morning meeting, it was decided that the government will make decisions on the housing situation, especially in the current situation, and provide its plans to the commission." The explanation given to the commission regarding the national housing plan made it clear that with this situation, the inflammation of the housing flow structure would not be much alleviated by the current situation.

He noted that the Civil Commission is implementing a plan that aims to target two million housing units in different cities, especially in the metropolis and large cities, to support the vulnerable. Part of this plan is related to the Housing Foundation and about two hundred thousand housing units, which was decided to reach about three hundred to four hundred thousand housing units.

The representative of Khodabandeh people in the Islamic Consultative Assembly also clarified about the activities of the Housing Foundation: One of the main problems in the field of housing production, rural housing, housing production in cities with less than 25,000 people is a review of the Rural Master Plan and its duration. At today's meeting, it was decided to convene a meeting to resolve this issue, to decide on the annexation of the territories to rural lands, in order to resolve this issue in a short-term process.

Hosseini reminded: "With this decision, the problem of this area will be solved to some extent in terms of executive infrastructure, and there will be no particular problem in discussing the provision of financial resources in the field of housing foundation." In other words, financing through low-cost, low-interest loans solves the problem to some extent.

Regarding housing problems in metropolitan areas and large cities, he said: "As the Minister of Roads and Urban Development stated in the first meeting of the Civil Commission, two hundred and fifty thousand hectares of land in urban areas, which is the point of contention between the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development. And it is the Ministry of Jihad for Agriculture.

The spokesman for the Civil Engineering Commission of the Majlis also reminded about cheap housing: to provide cheap housing, since land in a residential unit accounts for about seventy to eighty percent of the cost, the first issue was the issue of land supply, which was decided by the Ministry of Housing and Urban development will provide all the independence it has to the government and itself within the next two or three days to build two million houses. Definitely, its mechanism will be presented in the form of a plan next Sunday, and this issue will be discussed in the meeting of the Civil Commission on Wednesday and Thursday.

Hosseini said that another item on the agenda of today's meeting of the commission was the discussion of financing the construction of housing. He added that banks are reluctant to provide loans with a return on investment at the current rate of 17% and 18%, and that there is no interest from the private sector in seeking loans for construction. Therefore, it was decided that financial resources for low-interest loans would be discussed at a joint meeting with members of the Economic Commission tomorrow. The various models have also been discussed, and God willing, the final result will be announced at tomorrow's meeting and will be announced to the media.

He stressed: "Another important issue in the field of housing is the issue of providing cheap, controlled and priced materials that the Ministry of Industry and Mines is pursuing in this regard, and in the next two or three days the discussion of how to control and supply materials will be determined."

"The purpose of this plan is to help the current situation in the housing sector," he said. The plan is set to be finalized next Sunday and will go to parliament, which will return to the commission, and we will look into minor issues to make the plan more mature and help the current housing situation.
