According to the International Stone Exhibition of Iran, Gholamreza Babaei stated: Last year, despite sanctions and economic problems, the volume of investment in the mining sector of the province has increased by forty-seven percent compared to the same period last year, the volume of investment in the sector The province's mines in the sections of mineral and decorative stones, mountainous materials have amounted to thirty-five billion tomans.
He pointed out that last year there were four hundred and seventy mines in the province, of which thirty-nine units were in the stone-cutting section of decorative stones, and specified: with the follow-ups done this year, the number of mines with the province's exploitation license is four hundred. And eighty-five mines have arrived.
Regarding job creation in the province's mining sector, Babaei said: "Last year, 5,079 people were employed in the province's mining sector."
The head of the Mining Industry and Trade Organization of West Azerbaijan pointed out that the main problem of the mining sector is the issue of crude sales and the shortage of large-scale stone-cutting units in the provincial scale. Article 90 is on the agenda to encourage and encourage farmers to build stone-cutting and processing units, to pursue the construction of two large-scale stone-cutting units and to provide banking facilities for the development of units and machinery renovation.
