Chairman of the Iran-China Chamber of Commerce: At present, we have practically no banking transactions with Russia and China, and if someone with an Iranian passport applies for banking services in these countries, it will be refused.

According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Reuters news agency recently announced; Chinese banks have been forced to move out of Swift's messaging system as soon as possible due to US sanctions.

Majid Reza Hariri, President of the Iran-China Chamber of Commerce, said: "In recent years, Russia and China have used other messengers instead of Swift to add more countries to these messengers, which has not happened yet."

He continued: "It should be noted that the main problem of our exchanges is not in Swift, but that no bank is willing to cooperate with us because we are suspected of money laundering, and it is minus the US sanctions that have put double pressure on us."

The head of the Iran-China Chamber of Commerce stated: Now we have two main problems in the banking system; One is US sanctions, which each partner country puts on its sanctions tour. The second problem; The issue is the FATF, whose non-acceptance of the terms has caused this problem. In recent weeks, this financial institution has repeatedly issued a circular to the world's banking systems stating that Iran is a high-risk country and its financial transactions should be strictly controlled.

Hariri reminded: "Currently, we have practically no banking transactions with Russia and China, and if someone with an Iranian passport applies for banking services in these countries, like most countries in the world, it will be refused."
