According to the latest statistics published by the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade, in the first quarter of this year, compared to the first quarter of last year, the number of exploration certificates and exploration licenses issued in the mining sector decreased and only four exploitation licenses were issued. The percentage has grown.

According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, in the first three months of last year, equivalent to one hundred and twelve discovery certificates were issued, which in the same period this year has decreased to one hundred and three items and has decreased by eight percent.

Also, during this period, the number of exploration licenses issued compared to the same period last year, has decreased by fourteen and two percent. In the first quarter of this year, two hundred and five exploration licenses were issued; In the same period last year, two hundred and thirty-nine exploration licenses were issued.

According to these statistics, only the issuance of operating licenses has been slightly better than the same period last year. In the spring of this year, one hundred and twenty-six exploitation licenses were issued, while the issuance of this mining license in the same period last year was only five less (one hundred and twenty-one); Therefore, it shows a growth of four and one percent.

Also, during the mentioned period of this year, the capital of licenses issued for mining exploration certificates, which was equivalent to the cost spent for exploration operations, has increased by five and two percent. In the first quarter of this year, more than two hundred and eleven billion rials have been spent on exploration operations, while in the first three months of last year, two hundred and one billion rials have been spent.

In addition, the employment rate due to the issuance of operating licenses in this period (spring of this year) has decreased by eleven and two percent. In the first quarter of last year, 1,275 people were employed, but in the first quarter of this year, the employment rate in this field has reached 1,132.
