Exhibition Industry Veteran: The Corona outbreak caused exhibitors to refuse to attend the exhibition, which is why visitors refused to attend; Therefore, holding exhibitions in the current situation would be a useless investment.

According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, the exhibition industry, which has long been the focus of all business activists, is not doing well these days. Sanctions that have already overshadowed Iran's trade and the current corona outbreak are two factors that have affected the future of the exhibition industry.

But what impact will these two major challenges have on the future of the industry? Does the future of this industry have bright days ahead or should we wait for a return to prosperity in this industry? With most of the activists we are talking about, they do not have much hope for the future and feel that they should think of a new business for themselves as soon as possible. Meanwhile, the veterans of the exhibition industry are hopeful for the future of this industry, and their hearts are bright for the prosperous days.

The current state of the exhibition industry

Shahrokh Modarres, a veteran of the exhibition industry, stated: The corona virus has affected all exhibition activities in Iran and the world, and unfortunately it has closed the events; Of course, after the outbreak of this virus, we held two exhibitions in the country, which were not taken seriously and significantly.

He added: "The outbreak of Corona caused the participants to refuse to attend the exhibition and the visitors refused to attend the exhibitions for this reason; Therefore, holding exhibitions in the current situation would be a useless investment. Psychologically, all three groups of organizers, participants and visitors do not have the necessary confidence to hold events at the moment, and for this reason, exhibition activities around the world have been shut down.

The veteran of the exhibition industry continued: "Currently, and considering the conditions created by the corona outbreak in the world, I do not agree to hold exhibitions, because holding events in the current situation has a negative impact on the health and economy of the country and holding events will not be justified." . For this reason, exhibitions around the world were closed until the end of this year. In my opinion, it makes more sense if we do not hold events by the end of the year.

"According to doctors and experts, the power of this virus will increase in autumn and winter; Therefore, if we are interested in the country, the country's economy and the social welfare of the citizens, we should postpone the holding of events. In the current situation, I prefer human health to economic activity, even though the economy must be active.

The veteran of the exhibition industry further referred to the decision of the Anti-Corona Headquarters to extend the ban on events and said: "Obviously, there is less danger in holding exhibitions than the market and other guilds, and I do not know why this headquarters decided to Exhibitions have been banned. I hope that the Corona headquarters has a logical reason for this decision.

The future of the exhibition industry

The future lecturer of the exhibition industry clearly predicted the country and said: "I believe that the country will change the way it communicates with other countries, and whenever this happens and our trade flourishes, the exhibitions will also prosper, and consequently the relations." The country's economy will also change. But today, due to the conditions of the embargo, it is not possible for us to hold international exhibitions, and the prevalence of the corona has further caused us to be excluded from the presence of foreigners in domestic exhibitions. Of course, there are many ways to bring other countries to the domestic exhibition so that the exhibitions can flourish.

Modarres further said: holding exhibitions has a history of six thousand years; Therefore, it is not possible for the exhibition industry to disappear, but it will become more prosperous day by day.

At the end of his speech, he said: "Exhibition industry activists should make the best use of this opportunity and forced closure and conduct comprehensive studies and research on exhibition activities so that when re-holding exhibitions, they can take a broader view of events."
