According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, the development of mines and mining industries is one of the most important policies of the government to prevent the sale of raw materials and create more value added, with the implementation of which various provinces, including low-income areas, are moving towards development.

 In order to develop mines and mineral industries and export exports of processed minerals from the country, the development of mines and mineral industries in potential provinces of the country is on the agenda of the provincial resistance economy headquarters. In this regard, the Program and Budget Organization, by publishing a summary report of the most important performance of the 11th government and the three-year period of the 12th government in the mining and mineral industries, reminded the issue of mining development and prevention of crude sales and noted the mining development policy in six provinces last year. has constructed.

According to the report of the Program and Budget Organization, a number of mining projects have been implemented in different provinces in the past year, and by launching them, while preventing the sale of raw materials, the country will gain more added value. Among these projects, we can mention the development and processing projects of copper, lead and zinc mines in Semnan province, in this regard, Taroud copper and lead mine located one hundred and twenty kilometers south of Shahroud has been opened.

Taroud Shahroud Mineral Products are sent to the west of Semnan province for processing copper and lead metal products, and according to the experts of this mineral line in Taroud Shahroud, it extracts and processes less than one percent copper soils. The annual conversion of 1,400 tons of copper to 40% concentrate is another measure of this mineral line.

Taroud copper mine has sixty workers and local specialists in two parts of extraction and processing. More lines are to be built for copper concentrate at the Taroud mine. East of Semnan province has many sources of metal mines and Taroud is also included in this matter. It is worth mentioning that Taroud is located one hundred and twenty kilometers south of Shahroud and is one of the rich copper reserves in the country.

Preventing the sale of raw materials and the use of substandard soil in order to increase the added value of mineral products is the main goal of opening the Taroud mine and also the copper processing unit in Ivanki. Potash is another huge capacity of Taroud region of Shahroud as a gateway to the desert plain.

 Development of mineral processing

 Development of processing of gold, sodium sulfate and lead and zinc and production of iron ore concentrate in South Khorasan province are among the development plans of the mining sector. South Khorasan, with its five hundred and eighty-nine mines, has a diverse album of mines in the province. Currently, two gold processing units, three magnesite units, three steel industry units and four coal units in this province have been considered.

Also in the field of mineral processing and rubber development projects, three projects are being implemented by the Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran and some projects are being implemented by the Executive Headquarters of Imam Khomeini (as), which promises to provide good conditions in this province. Statistics show that in recent years, the necessary measures have been taken in the mining industry of this province; Among other things, the capacity of mineral reserves has increased from eleven to seventeen million tons.

 Construction of granulation and barite factory

Other projects include the construction of a barite granulation and micronized plant in North Khorasan Province. Annually, an average of six thousand tons of barite is extracted from eight active mines in the border section of Jorglan in Raz and Jorglan counties of this province. The nominal capacity of barite extraction from the mines of this region is announced as eight thousand tons per year and the extraction in this region is done according to the determined capacity and the exploitation license of the mines. It is worth mentioning that Raz, the center of the border city of Raz and Jirgalan, is located one hundred and twenty kilometers from the center of North Khorasan.

Construction of a concentrate production plant

 The construction of a concentrate production plant from iron ore mines in Hormozgan province is one of the most important requirements for achieving the goals in the steel industry and supplying the required iron ore. Last year, the largest iron ore mine in Hormozgan, called Rezvan Iron Ore, was put into operation seventy kilometers north of Bandar Abbas.

According to the search operation, the reserve of Rezvan iron ore mine has increased from two and a half million tons to twenty million tons and has made this mine known as the largest iron ore mine in Hormozgan province. Another important step in the development of the country's steel industry was the start of operations of the country's largest hematite iron ore concentrate plant in Hormozgan last summer.

The operation of this factory has partially alleviated the concerns of the activists in this field for the supply of raw materials. Processing and production of one million tons of iron concentrate with a grade of sixty-two and sixty-five percent, supply of feed to Madkoosh Hormozgan pelletizing factories and production of export-oriented products are important indicators of Rezvani Hematite iron ore concentrate factory.

Padideh Kavosh Iranian Rezvan Bandar Abbas Padideh Kavosh Iranian Concentrate Production Plant has an input capacity of two million tons of crude iron and an output of one million tons with an iron grade of sixty-two and sixty-five percent. The full operation of this factory will provide direct employment for four hundred and thirty people. The construction period of Hematite Iron Ore Concentrate Plant along with tailings removal and preparation of Rezvan Iron Ore Mine lasts eighteen months.

 Copper processing and magnesite production

 Copper processing and production of calcined magnesite and mining development of Sistan and Baluchestan province are among the mining development projects in the southeast of the country. Copper processing plant with nominal capacity and production of one thousand tons of copper powder and seven hundred tons of copper cathode is operating in Nusratabad industrial zone of Zahedan. The copper leaching plant in the area is expected to be operational by winter this year after receiving the facility. Also, the operation of the second unit of granulation and upgrading of magnesite in Nokabad Nusratabad is predicted. Nokabad Nusratabad Magnesite Granulation and Improvement Unit will be inaugurated soon with a physical progress of 98%. The shareholder and investor of Nokabad Nosratabad Magnesite Granulation and Improvement Unit is a special joint stock company for the production and production of refractory materials in the country, and now the production lines of this granulation and upgrade unit are fully operational and active.

Increased production of sodium carbonate

Last year, a sodium carbonate production project with a capacity of one million tons was activated as one of the resistance economy projects in Fars province. Now, with the operation of this project, Iran is among the five producers of sodium carbonate in the world. Until recent years, the chemical industries of adhesives, baking soda, detergents and sanitizers, and the country's glass and ceramics industries met their needs with high prices from abroad. Now, due to the availability and cheapness of the raw materials of this industry (limestone and salt rock) which are found in large quantities in the mines of Fars province, this industry with high added value and employment has been introduced in the country. It is worth mentioning that the machinery and equipment required for this industry have also been internalized. Also, the production of calcium carbonate from lime and salt mines in Bushehr province is underway in the form of a resistance economy project this year.
