The Minister of Roads and Urban Development announced the delivery of the first series of units of the National Housing Action Plan from next month.

According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Mohammad Eslami, referring to the role of comprehensive urban plans in guiding and facilitating the development and progress of the country, emphasized: These plans should pay more attention to social issues and society's needs for development based on demographic and territorial capacities.

Regarding the idea of forming metropolitan planning and development institutions, he said: "One of the issues targeted by the High Urban Planning Council in the hierarchy of preparing urban development documents is the issue of designing urban complexes, and due to the mutual influence of cities and population areas, we We consider them as a set or in the form of special plans to rule a more convergent and continuous view of urban development, which is also on the agenda.

Regeneration of cities and neighborhoods is on the agenda

The Minister of Roads and Urban Development called urban regeneration a strategic goal and added: "In a situation where cities are expanding geographically and becoming empty from within, they should be recreated so that the population can return to cities, especially historic cities." We put urban and neighborhood regeneration on the agenda with the aim of creating new and advanced functions in order to improve the quality of urban life and using the Iranian model.

Allocation of subsidies to construction permits and renovation facilities of dilapidated houses

"Renovation is possible with the participation of the people and the granting of facilities and benefits according to the program law and the worn-out tissues law," Eslami said. "Fortunately, both the construction license and the bank facilities have subsidies in this regard;" That is, of the eighteen percent of the facilities, neither the owner pays the interest nor the government subsidizes the remaining percentage.

Renovation of half of the capital's houses

Noting that fifty percent of the houses in Tehran have been rebuilt and renovated, the official added: "The urban redevelopment company also has plans for the second fifty percent, and we hope to see more public acceptance this year."

He considered the reason for the permanence of Iranian-Islamic architecture as paying special attention to proportion, balance, safety, beauty and having high quality and attractiveness and emphasized: In recreating cities, we should pay attention to the discussion of architecture and new and harmonious technologies.

Eslami criticized the lack of attention to the approvals related to the symbol and the urban landscape and said: "This week, the Urban Planning Council declared it necessary to compile a document of architectural and urban planning criteria so that we can include density and functions in urban plans."

Regarding the completion of the "Mehr Housing" project, the Minister of Roads and Urban Development added: "The roots of the Mehr Housing Plan actually go back to the comprehensive housing plan, which the Ministry considers a criterion for action, and we will continue the Mehr Housing Plan in the form of" National Housing Action Plan ". So there is no social housing in the middle, it was just an idea to build small, cheap and rented houses, and the real estate part was in dilapidated buildings.
