The Memorandum of Understanding for the establishment of Savadkuh Mining Museum, which is known as the first mining museum in the country, was signed by Imidro and Shahid Beheshti University in May 2017 with a two-year credit, and 500 million Tomans were transferred to Alborz Markazi Company for this purpose.

According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, the remaining steps to launch the country's first mining museum in Savadkuh, Mazandaran, require executive measures. The Memorandum of Understanding for the establishment of Savadkuh Mining Museum, which is known as the first mining museum in the country, was signed by Imidro and Shahid Beheshti University in May 2017 with a two-year credit, and the amount of five hundred million Tomans was transferred to Alborz Markazi Company.

Although tasks were defined in the minutes for Mazandaran Industry, Mining and Trade Organization, Central Alborz Company and Shahid Beheshti University, but after two years we have not seen any tangible progress and today the validity of that memorandum has ended.

The process of setting up a mineral museum

Various news and reports on this issue in the media with the headlines "The first mining museum in the country will be built in Mazandaran", "Launching the first mining museum and tourism in the country in the first step", "Investor selection; "The gap in the implementation of the Mining Museum in the north of the country" was brought.

These reports and examples of it show the dissatisfaction of the governor of Savadkuh with the progress of work, the nationality of the memorandum and ignoring the relevant provincial and city departments, introducing other places along with the old Kanijekola mine to implement the mining museum project, enlarging the project by creating a tourism project. The museum is the weakness of Central Alborz as a representative of Imidro to implement the project due to the existing obstacles and create doubts about the design of Savadkuh Mining Museum during more than three years.

 Launching Savadkuh Mining Museum

Seyed Emad Hosseini, referring to the process of constructing a mining museum in Savadkuh, said: "In the beginning, there was only a memorandum of understanding and nothing else as a support."

The dean of Shahid Beheshti Zirab University campus pointed to the meeting being held in Imidro and said: "We have reached a point where it was not possible to implement the plan; So the meeting was held again at Imidro. Although this organization wanted to implement the plan, but Central Alborz was not very willing to implement it.

He announced the invitation of Imidro's expert team to follow up on the issue and prepare the initial draft of the memorandum and call for investor attraction, and with its approval, he noted:

Hosseini announced that he had obtained the necessary permits from the university and stated: "We are finalizing the call for inclusion in the media." Although investing is not part of the university's responsibilities, we can transfer it, and Imidro has promised to provide expert advice.

The president of Shahid Beheshti Zirab University, stating that four pieces were introduced to create a mining museum, said: "All the fields belong to the university and we have a document for the desired fields." The approximate cost of creating four phases of the Mineral Museum is estimated at ten billion tomans, and our call is public, which can be implemented in whole or in part.

Announcing that the situation of five hundred million Tomans, which is said to be at the disposal of Central Alborz for the construction of a mining museum, is not clear, he said: "The economic benefits of the project have been defined for the investor and the university."

Hosseini stated: The amount of employment and profit of the project was determined by the consultant and the amount of direct employment is eighty-four people, provided that it is fully implemented.

The president of Shahid Beheshti Zirab University, in response to a question about the support of Zirab city council, added: "I did not see any interest from the city council to create a mining museum, and people's satisfaction is our priority."

Consult for the design of the Mineral Museum

The CEO of Alborz Markazi Company, pointing out that employment and public interest are in the priority of the Savadkuh Mining Museum project, said: "The current important principle for the Mining Museum is to attract investors."

Hossein Motassadi, pointing out that we obtained five hundred million tomans for the establishment of the Savadkuh Mining Museum with difficulty, added: for the cost of the allocated amount, the legal procedure and the method of spending must be specified.

The CEO of Alborz Markazi Company, stating that the facts should be clearly stated, noted: We cooperate to provide expert advice on the Savadkuh Mineral Museum project.

last word

Acknowledgments for pursuing the Savadkuh Mining Museum project should be postponed, as nothing has happened yet in the implementation and monitoring of the agreements.

After the media call for investor attraction was published by Shahid Beheshti University, we had to wait for the presence of an investor who can invest in four phases or separately. The separation of phases seems to lead to the dispersion of investment management, and it is better to focus on the implementation of all four phases by one investor. The assignment of five hundred million tomans, which cost about seventy million tomans to write the plan, must also be specified.

Supervision of the activity of the investor or investors is also one of the concerns that is associated with the implementation of the plan and requires proper management.

Miniaturization of the plan is one of the serious harms that we see among some managers. Although the Mining Museum project was introduced in the past with the employment of about five hundred people with an investment of tens of billions and over time its employment was reduced to eighty-four people and the amount of investment was reduced to ten billion tomans, but the same number of direct employment with indirect employment and impact Other cultural, social and economic factors can be considered as an important step.

What is important is that the remaining steps of the operation of the first mining museum in Savadkuh be taken.
