The secretary general of the Iranian Exporters' Confederation says that while Iran's economy is constrained by foreign sanctions and the outbreak of the coronavirus, some domestic sanctions also hinder the activities of economic investors.

According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Jamshid Nafar stated: One of the issues that is very important for the Iranian economy in overcoming the current situation is to provide production conditions and improve the business environment. When the Supreme Leader also calls this year the year of the leap in production, the lifting of production restrictions will definitely be one of this year's priorities.

According to him, considering that the capacity of the country's domestic market does not exceed a certain level, in order to jump in production, one should also think about export markets and their development, and there is no other choice but to move in this direction.

The Secretary General of the Confederation of Exports of Iran, referring to the wrong view of exporters in the country, said: "Despite all these restrictions, exporters have spent their capital on production and currency for the country and have tried all these years despite all the difficulties of sanctions." They should return the currency needed by the country, but the fact that we suddenly set a time limit and talk about fines and suspensions of exporters is really ignoring their efforts in the past years.

"The government's priority in the final year of its activity should be to reduce barriers to production," he said. "Given that we have largely lost the opportunity to export oil due to sanctions, the best option to overcome the current situation is to support production and exports." And so if the government can lift only some of the problems and restrictions and domestic sanctions on production and exports in the final year of its activity, we can have more hope for the coming years.

According to the report, Iran's oil exports fell after the start of a new round of sanctions by the Trump administration, and the government announced that it would increase its reliance on non-oil exports to compensate for this decline.

According to official statistics, Iran was able to export more than forty billion dollars in non-oil exports in 1397 and last year, although with the outbreak of the Corona virus, this trend does not seem to be repeated this year.
