Chairman of the Mining Commission of the Iranian Economy House: Not everyone is supposed to build everything in the world. The localization and growth of domestic production in relation to all commodities is just a populist slogan. At present, our country does not have favorable conditions for the construction of mining machinery, because we do not have enough technology and knowledge.

According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, our country can not localize in the field of mining machinery; While moving in this direction is not the right policy. The most common machines in the mining field include loaders and bulldozers, in which we have no production.

The fact is that not only can we not produce loaders, bulldozers, and 30-ton trucks, but we can also make the tires of a mineral truck. In the meantime, the important thing is to accept that not everyone is going to build everything in the world.

The localization and growth of domestic production in relation to all commodities is just a populist slogan. At present, our country does not have favorable conditions for the construction of mining machinery, because we do not have enough technology and knowledge. Given this situation, we should not insist on domestic production and localization, because we are wasting only our energy and money.

If we examine, we see that there are many obstacles to the specialized production of machinery, including bulldozers, in the country; For example, the total need for Iranian bulldozers is one hundred per year, and for this small number, new technical knowledge and technology can not be imported.

On the other hand, there is no market that we want to move in this direction; Therefore, since the consumption of machines in Iran is low, we can not enter the competitive world. In the meantime, our art is to extract and process mineral reserves and ultimately reduce the cost.

Holding zero to one hundred is a strategic error. When there is a free market and economic conditions, the private sector shifts its stray capital to production. We expect the government, by downsizing, to deregulate, and to eliminate the decisions of the people of the moment, to create the conditions for the private sector to feel transparent and, as a result, for production to grow as much as possible.
