According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Abbas Jorjani added: The study of exploration zones in South Khorasan was started in 1392 and its executive operations began in 1394.

He said: "We had defined the zones in order to reduce investment risk, increase the capacity of the private sector and identify the mineral potentials of the province, and by a number of development organizations owned by the government, such as the Geological Survey and Mineral Exploration Organization, Mines and Industries Development and Renovation Organization." Iran Minerals (Imidro) and Iran Minerals Production Company have also been done by the private sector.

The head of the Industry, Mining and Trade Organization of South Khorasan said: in this regard, about twenty thousand square kilometers of promising points have been identified, which will be about two hundred points.

He added: "Based on these promising points, the companies will continue the exploration work and as soon as the exploration license is obtained and it is determined what mineral is there, the transfer will be done through an auction."

South Khorasan, a leader in aerial geophysics

Jorjani stated: "By doing aerial geophysics, a very good work has been done since 1392 in South Khorasan province and the identification of mineral potentials in the depths of the earth has been done by helicopter, and the promising points have been identified based on the same results."

"We are one of the provinces where the most aerial geophysics has been done," he said.

The head of the Industry, Mining and Trade Organization of South Khorasan added: In 1996, 1997 and 1998, which were the most exploratory areas of the province, equivalent to one hundred and fifty billion tomans in this field was done by the public and private sector, which is hopeful if potentials are identified. Minerals of the province We can take effective steps to invest in this sector and mineral processing.

Stagnant mineral boundaries are assigned

He stressed the need to assign stagnant mining areas and hand them over to new investors through auctions, and said that mining sites should be assigned both in the form of exploitation licenses and exploration areas that are practically stagnant.

Jorjani specified: with the approval of the Provincial Council of Mines, it was decided that the Industry, Mining and Trade Organization should prepare a complete report in this field within a maximum of one month.

He added: "According to this, it was decided to help those whose continuation of activities is justified from the organization's point of view, and those who we know do not want to continue mining activities to assign tasks sooner so that we can provide new areas to new people through auctions."
