Acting Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade: The amount of production in important items of the construction industry is more than double the country's needs.

According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Jafar Sarghini said: "This exhibition has been held after receiving the necessary permits and observing all health protocols."

He said that today, fortunately, the construction industry works 100% with the supply of raw materials from within the country, he continued: In this area, not only do we not worry about the supply of raw materials; But in important items of this industry such as steel, cement and ceramic tiles, we have almost more than twice the production needs.

The head of the Ministry of Industry added: out of ten billion dollars of exports of the mining sector and mining industries last year, nearly seven billion dollars were related to construction materials.

Sarghini said: "Today, our country is one of the major exporters of steel in the region and one of the major exporters of cement in the world."

He added: "We are also an important exporter in the export of glass, tiles and ceramics."

In another part of his speech, the head of the Ministry of Industry stated: "We lose a lot of construction materials in construction in the form of waste, part of which goes back to the way of construction and the other part can be minimized by management."

Do serious work on lightening in the construction industry for optimal consumption of materials

Referring to the proper and increasing production of construction materials, Sarghini said: "Optimal consumption is necessary and serious work should be done on lightening in the field of construction."

Regarding the seismicity of our country, he stated: "Innovation and light construction in the preparation of building materials for the construction of light and earthquake-resistant buildings must continue."

The head of the Ministry of Industry also pointed to the existence of rich mines related to the production of construction materials in the country and said: "There is no problem in supplying raw materials and building-related products that the country needs."
