A knowledge-based company has developed and supplied nano antibacterial stone adhesive for the construction industry that prevents the spread of infection in the hospital environment.

According to Iran International Stone Exhibition, Mohammad Mehdi Nemati, CEO of Danesh Bonyan Company, said about this Danesh Bonyan product: "Antibacterial nanocoatings called polyannanopack and antibacterial nanoadhesives are a knowledge-based product and allow the consumer to have more surfaces such as Stick wood, stone, glass, etc. in a short time and also in a special application of this product can be used as insulation on various surfaces such as swimming pools, roofing, toilets, etc.

He said: "Among other applications of this product is its use as an additive to concrete, which causes water repellency and does not crack the concrete." This product contains zinc oxide nanoparticles and has antibacterial properties. This property distinguishes its use as a sealant from similar products.

Nemati continued: about eight hundred kilograms of antibacterial nano-stone adhesive is produced and marketed annually. Most customers are in-store stores; However, in the past few years, this stone adhesive has been used in various projects such as the operating room and laboratory of Shahid Faghihi Hospital in Shiraz and the operating room and laboratory of Hazrat Zeinab Hospital in Shiraz. This nano-stone adhesive prevents the spread of infection in the hospital due to its antibacterial properties.

He said: "Zinc oxide nanoparticles have been used in the production of this adhesive, and zinc oxide is also produced in this company." Therefore, the cost price of this product is not much different from common stone adhesives, and at the same time it has antibacterial properties. This antibacterial property along with the price advantage has made this product attractive to the market.

The CEO of Danesh Bonyan added: "Sometimes it is necessary to change the tiles to eliminate water leakage on the floor of the building, but this adhesive allows the user to prevent water leakage by just creating a coating on the surface instead of changing the tiles."
