Rising machine prices are a major problem for miners in Khorasan Razavi

Head of Mines and Mining Industries Deputy of Khorasan Razavi Industry, Mining and Trade Organization: This year, the prices of machinery, spare parts and even the rent for their use for miners have increased sharply and has become an important problem in this sector.

According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Mohammad Tavakoli added: "The increase in the price of currency as a result of oppressive sanctions caused the price of mining machinery to become more expensive, and even the maintenance costs of mining machinery have increased significantly compared to last year."

He added: "On the other hand, the price of minerals did not increase much to compensate the cost of miners in supplying machinery."

The head of the Deputy Minister of Mines and Mining Industries of the Khorasan Razavi Industry, Mining and Trade Organization said: "In this regard, the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade predicted that a series of facilities for importing second-hand machinery less than 10 years old will be allocated to miners." 

Tavakoli added: the import of second-hand machinery will help miners a lot in providing the tools needed to extract and transport minerals, so the Khorasan Razavi Industry Organization introduced some of its important mines to the ministry to issue import licenses for machinery.

He continued: "The priority of Khorasan Razavi province to introduce mines in order to receive permission to import second-hand machinery with kaolin, silica and stone mines and some others that have high production and employment."

The head of the Deputy Minister of Mines and Mining Industries of the Khorasan Razavi Industry, Mining and Trade Organization said: "This ministry has not yet issued a license to import the mentioned machines, so our request is to expedite this issue to solve the problem of miners to solve many of their problems."

Tavakoli added: in the first five months of this year, 15 mining licenses with an investment of 350 billion rials have been issued in the province.

There are 46 types of minerals in Khorasan Razavi, most of which are known materials in the country. Metal materials including iron ore, manganese, gold, chromite, copper and non-metallic materials including industrial soil, silica, kaolin, coal, construction materials and decorative stones are the main mines of Khorasan Razavi province.
