Chairman of the Board of Imidro: The organization has taken a different approach to passive defense, despite the toughest US sanctions on the mining and mineral industries, along with production growth, has also advanced development plans.

He continued: "During the first six months of this year, we had a growth of 8% in the production of iron concentrate, 18% in pellets, 19% in sponge iron and 12% in steel production." In other sectors such as aluminum, alumina, copper concentrate, etc., we also had favorable growth in production.

Concluding contracts to institutionalize passive defense

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Imidro, noting that the organization has implemented contracts with research universities in the field of passive defense, clarified: The orientation towards accidents is zero, which with the resulting measures, while increasing the working hours in the company by 30% Imidro affiliates, accidents increased by only 3%.

Maintain production despite sanctions and the corona

Hamidreza Azimian, CEO of Mobarakeh Steel, said in a video conference at the conference: "Various US sanctions in recent years have not reduced or stopped the company's production, and with Imidro's management, the export currency will be offered in the Nima system and the Central Bank." 

He continued: "Despite the outbreak of coronavirus, we did not allow the production process to be affected and by observing health protocols and spending heavy costs, production continued and even in some areas, production increased." We helped the health sector with about 70 billion tomans in the form of equipment and devices.

Supply of raw materials with the support of Imidro

Ahmad Majidi, CEO of Iran Aluminum Company (Iralco) in this meeting, stating that we import 80% of raw materials, said: "With Imidro's support, despite severe US sanctions, the company's raw materials were supplied and for 6 months." We have future storage of raw materials.

He continued: "If Imidro is not with the subsidiaries of mining and mineral industries, with the current sanctions, many problems will arise for them."

Plan to increase copper exports

Ardeshir Saad Mohammadi, CEO of the National Iranian Copper Industries Company, stating that last year we had $ 1 billion in exports, said: "According to Imidro measures, this revenue was allocated to provide foreign exchange to manufacturing companies." We hope that this year's exports will increase compared to last year.

He continued: "In the first half of this year, a production record of 140,000 tons of copper cathodes was recorded and we predict that this figure will reach 280,000 tons by the end of this year."

Saad Mohammadi said: "Copper Company has defined a development plan of about 2.5 billion Euros and now supplies parts and equipment."

He continued: "We have established a permanent exhibition in Rafsanjan so that the manufacturers can localize them with information from the required parts." In the case of passive defense, by creating special software, we tried to prevent any disruption in the company's cyber system.

The CEO of the National Iranian Copper Industries Company pointed out: In the field of corona, the company has also donated cash and oxygen generators to hospitals and medical centers in neighboring cities of copper mines.

According to the report, the conference was attended by Brigadier General Gholamreza Jalali, head of the Passive Defense Organization, and the CEOs of Iran Minerals Processing Research Center, Neflin Syenite Sarab and Azarshahr Mining Research Center were present by video conference.
