29 exploitation licenses were issued for the mines of West Azerbaijan
The Deputy Minister of Mines and Mining Industries of the West Azerbaijan Industry, Mining and Trade Organization announced the issuance of 29 mining licenses in the province since the beginning of this year.
According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Parisa Abedpour, referring to the issuance of 32 licenses and exploration certificates from the province's mines this year, added: "With this number of exploitation licenses, employment has been provided for 220 people in the province's mines sector."
Noting that the rehabilitation of small mines is one of the priorities of the organization this year, he said: During this period, three iron ore mines, Qaloo Sheikhan Bukan, Khoy chromites and refractory soil have been rehabilitated in the province.
Abedpour, stating that 17 million and 680 thousand tons of various minerals are extracted annually from 489 active mines in the province, added: the definite reserve of mines in West Azerbaijan was one million and 221 thousand and 657 tons, which in this sector for five thousand and 200 people Employment is provided directly in the mining sector of the province.
