Chairman of the Iran-India Joint Chamber of Commerce: FATF rules are binding and must be observed. Of course, we now observe it in some way, but it is not called FATF and we observe these rules under the title of money laundering laws.

According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Ebrahim Jamili stated: "I think we need to approve the FATF, but now our laws on money laundering, etc. are fully observed." The FATF has become just an excuse for the opposition of the Islamic Republic to say that you do not follow the law and under this pretext they can impose sanctions and restrictions on us. Therefore, I think that our current situation is such that we should not give an excuse to the enemy.

He added: "The enemy does not want us to be successful and trade freely with the world." That is why we must look to the FATF in a positive way to make trade with the world easier. Unfortunately, despite all these possibilities, our country is facing many problems due to the FATF.

The head of the Iran-India Joint Chamber of Commerce stated: "Our economic situation will not always remain like this, maximum pressure on the Iranian economy did not work and I think the country's economy will improve." The reason we say the FATF should be ratified is because there is no excuse for re-pressing. If the FATF is not approved, our difficult situation will be prolonged.

He noted: "FATF rules are binding and must be observed, we also comply with it now, but it is not under the name of FATF and we follow these rules under the name of money laundering laws." These are international laws and we must be able to work with other countries in the world, so we must accept these laws because the others have accepted them. Some of these laws are in our interest and some of them are not in our interest, but in general, its acceptance is in our interest.
