Expert studies and assessments show that the currency capacity of the mining sector and mining industries is up to 30% of the value of non-oil exports, and this seems beyond the current speculation for the next quarter of a century.

According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Iran is among the top 15 countries in the world in terms of identified reserves, dating back half a century, and about 60 billion tons of mineral reserves, of which about 40 billion tons are definite and the rest are probable. Is an indicator as a mineral country.

Foreign trade of mining and mineral industries

Foreign trade in the mining and mineral industries in 1398 shows that the value of exports was equal to $ 8.4 billion, which shows a decrease of three percent compared to 1997.

Acting Deputy Minister of Mines and Mining Industries of the Ministry of Industry on March 3, while emphasizing the need to promote the role of mining in the country's economy, said that achieving the goals set in this area depends on changing patterns in mining behavior and said: value-added capacity in the field The mine is estimated to be 800 times larger, which requires careful planning and design.

The export volume of the mining sector and mineral industries in 1398 reached 58 million 671 thousand 457 tons, which compared to the performance of 1397 recorded a three percent increase.

About 20% share in 10-month export statistics

In the first 10 months of this year, Iran had 122 million and 790 thousand tons of goods worth 58 billion and 702 million dollars in foreign trade, of which 94 million and 541 thousand tons were exported worth 28 billion and 63 million dollars and the share of imports was 28 million and 249 One thousand tons of goods were worth 30 billion and 639 million dollars.

According to the statistics, the value of exports of mines and mining industries in the first 10 months of this year reached more than 5 billion and 612 million dollars, which in fact accounted for about 20% of the value of exports.

According to Iranian customs statistics, in the first 10 months of this year, the export volume of the mining and mineral industries was more than 34 million and 90 thousand tons, and in fact 36% of the export weight is allocated to this sector.

The highest export growth in 1998 was antimony

Iran's customs statistics show that the highest export growth in 1398 in the mining and mineral industries sector is related to the export of antimony with a growth of 657 percent compared to 1397, and at the same time the highest growth in volume exports last year in this sector of that antimony It was registered with 661 percent, which weighed 17 million 531 thousand 441 tons.

Media reports indicate that about 60 percent of antimony is used in flame retardants and 20 percent in battery alloys, plain bearings, and solders.

Steel chains and steel products have the highest export value

Last year's statistics show that the highest value of exports was related to the steel chain and related steel products, which amounted to 4 billion 507 million 527 thousand dollars, which compared to the performance of 1397 showed a growth of seven percent.

The export of steel ingots (billets, blooms and slabs) in the first 10 months of this year reached 5 million 136 thousand tons, which shows a decrease of 12% compared to the same period last year.

Also, according to the statistical tables of the Iranian Steel Producers Association, in the first 10 months of last year, the export of steel ingots reached 5,821,000 tons.

The main export items of the mining and mineral industries sector

Statistical fact shows that antimony, all kinds of stones and related products, all kinds of ferroalloys, all kinds of pottery, bricks, ceramic tiles, alumina powder, coal and coke, aluminum chain and products, titanium chain, zinc chain, lead chain, cement chain , Steel chain and related steel products, molybdenum chain, chromium chain, other mining and mineral industries, iron ore and concentrate, precious metals and stones (gold), silver, etc., copper and downstream products, mica, nickel and products from Major export items of this sector are considered.

The stagnation of the activity of four thousand mines

Previous statistics of the Ministry of Industry and the current show that the closure of about four thousand mines, which if 500 people are employed for each mine, will actually lead to the employment of two million unemployed people, while the national wealth hidden in these mines is billions of Tomans. Export will follow, billions of dollars of foreign exchange will follow for the country.

Principled policy for the liberation of mineral zones

In the new period, the Ministry of Industry will implement a principled policy by the Deputy Minister of Mining, and that is the important issue of freeing blocked and inactive zones, which is on its agenda, and in this regard, a new step will be taken from the first month of 1400.

The Acting Deputy Minister of Mines and Mining Industries of the Ministry of Industry said: the blocked mines or areas are now planned to be handed over in the form of public auctions from mid-April 1400, and this action is done to increase the dynamism and use of existing mining capacities. The first step is to offer areas that do not have an owner.

Serious planning for mine dynamics

Saad Mohammadi, who retained the position of CEO of Iran Copper Industries Company and has been the Deputy Minister of Mines of the Ministry, has now raised the important issue of changing attitudes and behavior for the exploitation of mines.

According to him, achieving the goals set in the field of mining depends on changing patterns in mining behavior, and in order to make optimal use of the country's mining capacity, in addition to updating equipment in both hardware and software, it is necessary to keep up to date with current knowledge. And this requires continuous training for specialized collections active in the field of mining.

He considered the activity in the field of export as one of the factors contributing to improving the quality of mineral products and said: "Considering the country's needs in various industries as well as supply and demand in the domestic market, production should be managed so that we can maintain foreign markets." Because in addition to currency for the country, exports also have a positive effect on increasing the quality of products and lead to improved production and increased employment.

End of speech

A review of the issues raised reveals that the implementation of the policy of sanctions by the enemy has fueled the issue of self-confidence and self-reliance at home in the mining and mineral industries, and foreign trade statistics are a clear evidence in this regard.

The fact that the currency of the mining sector and mining industries is mostly realized in the form of raw or intermediate production, if the final product is offered to export markets, the highest value added will be obtained and this round is not available.

The Ministry of Industry in the Eleventh and Twelfth Governments has put on the agenda a key exploration development program in the framework of reviving the dormant resources and wealth underground and turning it into a final product, and now the release of blocked zones and areas for exploration development. Has planned.

Relying on the private sector, which accounts for 98% of mining, the Ministry of Industry is expected to boost mining by easing laws and regulations and removing barriers to exports.
