Head of the Office of the President: In the Joint Economic Commission of Iran and Turkey, we reaffirmed the goal of $ 30 billion in annual trade between the two countries.

According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Mahmoud Vaezi on the sidelines of the 28th Iran-Turkey Joint Economic Commission said: "We should pay attention to companies interested in investing in Iran or Turkey, because in addition to trade and industrial relations, investments are sustainable." Relations between the two countries.

In response to a question about private sector investment in the two countries, he said: "We always emphasize that trade and economic relations in the private sector should be the main focus and the government also supports the private sector. If there is a problem, we will solve it through diplomacy."

Regarding the increase in trade volume between the two countries this year, the head of the president's office added: "The trade volume of the two countries will continue to increase until the end of the year, as it did in the last two or three months.

Vaezi stressed: "If the sanctions are lifted, we will see a jump in trade growth with Turkey, and the speed of trade volume will reach before the sanctions and the goal is achieved, because there is room for cooperation between the companies of the two countries."

He said: "Turkey has been one of the customers of Iranian oil for a long time, but in the last three years, the purchase of oil has stopped and if the purchase of oil starts again, it will expand cooperation in other fields as well."

Vaezi added: "Iran-Turkey relations between the neighbors are very important. These relations are in the political, regional, economic and trade fields."

The head of the president's office said that the regulation of relations between the two countries, which is held every year through a joint commission, outlines a roadmap for various ministries and organizations on how to advance relations in order to set goals for the future of relations.

Pointing out that there is a very wide field of cooperation between Iran and Turkey, Vaezi added: "Five committees started their work with Turkey through video communication and reached agreements that resulted in the establishment of a joint economic commission." In this commission, we exchanged views with the Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources and reached a framework under which the 28th Joint Commission document was signed.

Vaezi said: "In this document, all aspects of scientific, tourism, cultural and heritage relations, gas, energy, power, transportation, trade, banking, customs and industry were discussed in the form of various committees."

He pointed out that in today's talks on the environment, cooperation between the border provinces, gas, petrochemicals, oil and agriculture was also discussed, adding: "More attention is to be paid to these issues, which we will definitely see trade growth."

The head of the president's office said that the target for trade volume between the two countries before the embargo was $ 30 billion annually, which in the past three years due to economic war and sanctions, oil purchases from Iran decreased and in the past year Corona also further reduced the trade volume of the two countries.

Vaezi added: "Fortunately, in the past three months, the volume of trade relations between Iran and Turkey has increased, which shows that Iranian and Turkish artisans and businessmen have found a way to bypass the corona and the sanctions become ineffective." We see this ineffectiveness of sanctions with many other countries with which we have trade relations, whose interest in cooperating with Iran has expanded.

The head of the president's office said: "Today, we reaffirmed the goal of $ 30 billion in annual trade between Iran and Turkey."

Vaezi added: "Today, the preferential agreement and the issue of transportation were also emphasized."

He said: "Due to relations with Turkey and transit with Europe, a long line will be formed at the Bazargan border. Based on today's exchange of views, it was decided to use another border in addition to the Bazargan border."

The head of the president's office added: "Banking, customs, health and medical equipment relations were also discussed, and since we will be producing the corona vaccine in about one to two months, after production and use inside the country, if friendly countries want They could use it.
