The large sums that miners pay annually as government salaries are not used for the right purposes. For this reason, it can be seen that with the closure of the mines, numerous damages have been caused to the environment, and this issue always provokes many protests.

According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, the word "destruction" in the public mind means that the natural landscape is altered during an operation and left to its ugly face without reconstruction.

The miner digs the ground, extracts the mineral, and after the end of the activity, unfortunately, the mines remain unclosed in nature and cause a lot of damage to nature. Our problem is not the extent of environmental degradation through mining and mining operations, but the issue of abandonment of mines and the environmental damage caused by this non-closure is a major issue that needs to be seriously considered.

If we want to deal with this issue in a more specialized and meticulous way, we must say that in many countries, mining and mining activities include four stages of exploration, extraction, processing and closure of mines. But in our country, this process has been reduced to three stages, and the final step, which is the end of work and the closure of the mine, is not the responsibility of the mining activist.

In other words, the reason for this difference is that in our country, the closure of exploited mines is the responsibility of the Forests, Rangelands and Watershed Management Organization and is not part of the mining process. As an entrepreneur and economic activist, the miner is always under the microscope and is suspected of destroying the environment, while the task of rebuilding and closing the mines after the completion of the work is not the responsibility of the mine owners.

Therefore, it can be said that most of the environmental damage is not due to mining activities and opposition to miners is unreasonable. It should be noted that the closure of the mines is the responsibility of the Forests, Rangelands and Watershed Management Organization, and this organization always receives sums from the miner from the beginning of the exploration license until the end of the government payment to cover the cost of closing the mine. .

Regarding the salaries of mine owners, it should be noted that the Supreme Council of Mines annually announces an amount of land fee per square kilometer based on the minerals extracted from the mine (according to the provisions of Article 3 and Article 12 of the Executive Regulations of the Mining Law.

15% of this tariff is mentioned annually and 12% of the government fee paid for mines is paid to the Forests, Rangelands and Watershed Management Organization for reconstruction. According to what has been said, unfortunately, the country's Forests, Rangelands and Watershed Management Organization receives large sums of money as damage to the environment and its reconstruction, but according to experts, this organization does not fulfill its duty of closing mines and protecting the environment.

Therefore, the large sums that miners pay annually as government salaries are not used for the right purposes.

For this reason, it can be seen that with the closure of the mines, numerous damages have been caused to the environment, and this issue always provokes many protests. To this end, organizations that have the task of closing mines and reducing damage to the environment should be asked why they are not doing their legal duty. Therefore, mining and mining activities cannot be opposed or stopped. Rather, it is expected that better and more management will be provided by the organizations responsible for closing the mines.
